Penske Racing announced the launch of its new official Internet web site

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 28, 2008) – Penske Racing, the championship motorsports organization with winning teams competing in NASCAR, the IndyCar Series and the American Le Mans Series, today announced the launch of its new official Internet web site – www.PenskeRacing.com. This fully-integrated web site, focusing on all areas of Penske Racing competition, features new designs, enhanced graphics and information, multimedia capability with audio and video webcasts and an exclusive media section designed to assist members of the press in their coverage.

"The new PenskeRacing.com site enables us to share with our fans, our sponsors and the media the full scope of our motorsports organization, with winning teams in NASCAR, the IndyCar Series and the American Le Mans Series," said Tim Cindric, President of Penske Performance. "The complete redesign of the site allows us to post the latest information, results and statistics on the drivers and teams, celebrate our latest victories with the fans and give web users a true glimpse into the 40-plus year history of Penske Racing, which includes 14 Indianapolis 500 victories, multiple NASCAR wins, including the 2008 Daytona 500, and much more."

Highlights of the new PenskeRacing.com site include:

  • The latest Penske Racing news and information, including coverage of the team’s 1-2 finish in the 2008 Daytona 500 and the historic overall team victory at the recent 12 Hours of Sebring sports car endurance race
  • Content created exclusively for PenskeRacing.com users, including video webcasts and unique information
  • In-depth biographies on each Penske Racing driver, including Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, Sam Hornish Jr., Helio Castroneves, Ryan Briscoe, Sascha Maassen, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Patrick Long, with personal information, photos and more
  • Images and graphics of all the high-tech Penske Racing machines, including the NASCAR Cup Series Dodge Charger, the IndyCar Series Dallara/Honda and the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 American Le Mans Series racer.

The new web site design and functionality can be found at www.PenskeRacing.com. Press members interested in visiting the media area of the new site should select the “Press Box” option and submit a log-in request to access exclusive information and resources related to Penske Racing.

By the end of April, Penske Racing will also unveil its new online merchandise store featuring the latest apparel and collectibles across all levels of the organization available at PenskeRacing.com. Working with its new web partner – RACERSITES.COM, a new area of the site exclusive to all Penske Racing sponsors will also debut within the next two weeks. This area will feature photos, graphics, information, multimedia content and other tools designed to help sponsors get the maximum benefit and return from their partnerships with Penske Racing.
