RACERSITES.COM Redesign Emphasizes Focus, Growth and New Client Tools
December 1, 2006
RACERSITES.COM, a leading provider of web development and management services to the motorsport industry, today announced the relaunch of the official company web site. The primary goals of the redesign project were to more clearly articulate the organization’s core mission, showcase recently completed projects and introduce a new set of tools that clients can use to better track and manage their projects.
This has been a banner-year for the young, dynamic, Minnesota-based company. The site redesign project was spurred by the company’s rapid growth in the last twelve months as well as an ever-increasing industry buzz. A complete overhaul has been done to update the overall information architecture, graphic design and functionality available.
The new site more clearly conveys the organization’s core mission – which is a sincere commitment to become the leading provider of web development and management services to the motorsport industry. "We are racing fanatics, and we feel very fortunate to be working in an industry that we happen to be so passionate about", said Chuck Tate, President. "It’s important for our current and potential customers to know that we share their passion". Which is why you will now find a portion of the new site dedicated to providing racing industry news – in most cases related to existing RACERSITES.COM clients – from karting on up through more high-profile American racing series.
In addition to better articulating the company’s mission, the new site also does a much better job of showcasing the firm’s recent work. According to Kevin Hofer, Director of Client Operations, “Visitors to the web sites of web development shops want to see what the company can do. We felt that we had not been doing a good job of showcasing the work of which we are so proud to do for our customers. The new site fixes that, and we now have an entire section of the site dedicated to sharing our client success stories.”
As further evidence that the company is intensely focused on providing the best experience possible for their clients, the newly launched site also features a set of tools that allows customers to track and manage projects that are currently in process.
For each active project, clients now have the option to access their own, password-protected client extranet. The client extranet acts as a central repository, where clients and RACERSITES.COM personnel alike can track and manage the progress of the project. Users can communicate with each other, view project timelines and deadlines, and access project deliverables.
"While technology will never take the place of human interaction, we're committed to offering our clients the best tools and resources with which to manage and track their projects", said Hofer. "Rather than shuffling through dozens of emails or searching your PC for the latest version of a deliverable, the client extranets collect all of the project information in a central place. The hope is that these tools will not only increase communication, but ultimately allow us to work more efficiently with clients to get their projects to market faster."
RACERSITES.COM is a dynamic, young company offering web development and management services to companies within motorsport or those targeting the industry. The current client roster includes Chip Ganassi Racing, Graham Rahal, Howard Boss Motorsports, Ferarri North America, Sean Guthrie.
