Challenge: After successfully executing a series of enhancements for their existing site, Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) signed on with RACERSITES.COM to redesign and host the official CGR web site. The primary goals of the project were to create a new site design that effectively carried the CGR brand online, expand the overall content offerings while ensuring each of the series in which they participate is represented equally, continue to add value to existing sponsor relationships, and finally, implement a set of flexible and user-friendly administration tools.
Success: The work we have done – and continue to do – for CGR is a true reflection of one of the core values of the RACERSITES.COM organization. That is, every client engagement is viewed as a partnership. A relationship that doesn’t end upon completion of a single project, but one that grows deeper with time. CGR initially contracted with RACERSITES.COM to execute a series of Flash headers for their existing site. Based largely on the success of those projects, CGR decided to partner with RACERSITES.COM to redesign and host the entire CGR web site.
The new site design truly raises the bar for racing team web sites. A unique balance between design aesthetic and usability was struck to create a visually compelling site that also delivers the appropriate amount of information – for all series in which CGR participates – to users. The new design has been received positively by CGR internal personnel, sponsors and fans alike.
In addition to delivering a well-received new site design, we were also able to deliver value on the back-end. CGR site administrators now have a flexible and user-friendly set of administration tools with which they use to manage all site updates. Sponsors now have access to a streamlined set of online tools that help them manage processes such as: credential, ticket and appearance requests.
But the real victory in this case was not simply getting to the finish line – it was how quickly we got there. CGR challenged us with an aggressive timeline for the project that required a live site before the Daytona 500. The site went live as scheduled, and this ability to deliver in the clutch only reinforced the faith CGR placed in RACERSITES.COM and ultimately led to the signing of a two-year hosting and maintenance agreement. More proof that RACERSITES.COM is your preferred web partner for this season … and the next.
